Plum It Your Way: Pleats

Hey everyone. how have you all been fairing? It’s nearly Christmas, less than fifty days left and I can already feel the Holiday rush as malls set up gigantic Christmas trees with all the beautiful lights and colors adorning them. I hope this is not just a time to celebrate and be merry with family and friends, but this will also be the time for us to commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and how He came to earth to save us from our sins.

Anyway, today’s OOTD is simple for simplicity’s sake: two colors, White and Plum. When you’re nearing thirty years old, your color palettes tend to lean towards more neutral and crisp colors. However, I always make it a point that the color/s I’m wearing certainly stand out of the background. Deets below:

Turtleneck top: Centrio Mall: The Cube Bazaar Strip

I bought this simple white top for a very affordable price at Php280.00 or more or less than $4.00. It came with a mint skater jumper but it was a bit too casual and mini for Church so I decided to pair it with this plum pleated skirt instead.

Plum pleated skirt: Thrifted; Mubi

As you always know, I ‘m a fan of thrift shopping. I got this skirt from a local “tiangge” (yet again) for about Php80.00 or an estimate of $2.00. If you’re looking for unique finds, verily I say, always visit a “tiangge” here in the Philippines. I guarantee you can buy even a bagful.

Stilettos: Gibi Collection

These elegant Stilettos were up on sale in Robinsons Department Store for about $10.00 or Php500.00. I liked the fact that it was accented with a little bit of silver in one of the toe straps. the pair looks really elegant especially when worn with long gowns.

It has been rainy weather for the past few days here in the city due to the presence of another typhoon in our area. So I decided to wear a pop of Plum to lessen the gloom of the day. On another note, I’ve started drinking the famous Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar since last week mainly because of my mucus problems in my lungs and throat. I hope it’ll help me get rid of it once and for all. I’ve also been taking less and less soda these days because of this, which is also a good sign. I’ll do a separate post on this healthy drink soon. 🙂

I hope you had a wonderful Sunday everyone. I hope you were all blessed by the preaching of God’s Word today, and may it be that it has found root in your lives.
