” For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Hello, and welcome back to Project Grace after my unseeming hibernation from this task. As much as I hoped that I wouldn’t miss a day of devotion – here I am, and I missed a lot. I hope you guys are doing better than before.
Tonight I started on a new devotional book given to me by one of our family friends and it’s called Amazing Grace by the Christian Art Publishers. I wouldn’t lie and tell you that my spiritual life is a breeze because it’s not. It’s definitely not. So much hate and negativity have been haunting me and my family because of standing in God’s Word and authority that we are sometimes treated as unwelcomed guests in our own Church. Sometimes choosing to do what is right leaves you with lesser friends, gossips behind your back, and cold shoulders from people whom you once called family. Anyway.
Picture two individuals who literally don’t know each other. One day they cross paths, maybe chat a little. Soon, they are sharing their favorite movies, music, sports, and hobbies to each other. One step at a time each person knows more about his friend. When Christ descended from Heaven and came down to earth, God Himself arrived. The person of Jesus has given us a face to face, interpersonal relationship with the Father. He came to us so that we may be able to know our God again. It’s because of our sin that we have forgotten who He is in our lives and lost our connection with Him. Jesus came to restore that severred tie.
John 3:16 is considered to be the heart of the Bible. And indeed it is. Without this beautiful passage, we would not know how deep God’s love for us really is. Choose to know the Lord as intimately as you can. Don’t stop learning about His character. Fall in love with the person of Jesus.
