Project Grace Day 74: How Wide is God’s Love?

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

God’s love towards us is as deep as the ocean’s depths and as high as the clouds circling above us. I can never imagine where I would be right now if it weren’t. I’d probably be lost in the world- no direction, no guidance, no nothing at all. It brings such comfort to know that no matter how much we fail, God is always ready to help us get back up. We can sure thank His grace for that. Of course, we shouldn’t make it as a license to keep on repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

What I admire most about God’s love is that it reaches out even to the chiefest of all sinners. It isn’t exclusive only to the rich, the famous, the powerful, the healthy, et cetera et cetera. Personally, I consider myself as the number one of all. I may not have killed anyone, or frauded somebody else, but I have been more of a sinner than anybody in the world right now. My thoughts have harbored the vilest things, my lips have said many a harsh and cruel word, and my hands have done so many unworthy deeds I am too ashamed to tell. Every time I know I committed an offense, it’s like my spirit is crushed. I am just thankful enough that His grace is truly sufficient for my insufficiency.

Trust God’s love. It’s never too late to accept it wholeheartedly. It will fill you and complete you, and you won’t have to turn to anyone else for replenishment. His love is a never-ending spring, one which we all have free access if only we know when to ask of Him. Bask in His goodness. Find rest in His love.
