“People receive God’s promises by having faith. This happens so the promise can be a free gift.” Romans 4:16

Hello everyone. I’m truly sorry for having been on a quick hiatus lately. Work has been preoccupying me more often than not and I can’t seem to squeeze in a few minutes before going to bed to blog. Too tired to even change into pajamas sometimes. 😦 Anyway.

As the title suggests, God indeed loves to catch us off guard almost all the time. He wants us to hope, and hope in Him alone. His blessings often come in the guise of disasters, heartaches, terminal illnesses, and even death. We don’t quite understand why God does the way He does things which sometimes causes us to doubt His overall goodness. But, we must always remember that God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are His ways our ways. His purpose for our lives is one that is incomprehensible. He wants us to understand what Hope is and what Hoping means.

Hope is not what you expect; it is what you would never dream. It is a wild, improbable tale with a pinch-me-I’m-dreaming ending [Max Lucado].

The next time something devastating occurs in your life, take a moment to back off and look at your situation from a different angle, a different perspective- God’s bird’s eye view. Don’t jump into conclusion and say that God is insensitive to your struggles, your dreams, and your desires. He is every bit as aware of them as we are. Trust in His timing. Have faith in His purpose. One day wou will see how He has orchestrated every single thing in your life with such delicacy and beauty, you will not be able to help but praise and magnify Him.
