Everyday, the people we meet put a “label” on us unconsciously. Even I myself, sometimes do an “initial reading” whenever I see a person for the first time. As the cliché saying goes, we are told not to “judge a book by its cover”, but I guess that is just how we are. Since we are physical beings, more often than not the first judgement almost always leans towards the physical side of people.
However, when we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, Grace then defines us. Gone are the tags people pin on our names, our bodies, our careers, and our lifestyles. Instead, God’s definitions of who we really are, are glued one by one. Forgiven. Favored. Loved. Blessed. Spiritually alive.
Let us pray to God that as we come across people in our lives, may we learn to extend the Grace we have received from Him and pass it on to others and continue to share the good news of His salvation.
