Project Grace Days 16 & 17: Water of Eternal Life, A Worry-free Life

(disclaimer: image not mine)

John 4:14 KJV
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Philippians 4:6 KJV
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Hello everyone!  I am sorry for missing to post on Day 16 of Project Grace yesterday. I hope you will all forgive my tired blogger-self. So I’m making it up to you guys by combining two inspirational devotions for tonight!

The verses above are very much interrelated when applied in the Christian life. If you are still new in the faith,  everything will seem like a bombardment of galaxies of truths and doctrines. It is during this stage that we should earnestly desire to not just take a sip-but to drink fully- the Word of God. It is important to note that like a newborn baby,  we need to drink milk from our mother in order to grow healthier each day. So shall it be when you are a true Christian. You do not just read the Bible. You study it, meditate upon it, and apply it in your life.

The second verse is the outcome of the first one. As you grow in your Christian faith,  one attribute that you should practice and believe me it will make your life less stressful,  is the art of “not worrying”. Let’s face it,  we ‘love’ to worry. We worry about the food we eat whether they are organic or not. We worry about the many external factors that can cause cancer. We worry about our loved ones whom we will soon leave behind. All of these will make you age ten times your senior. Trust me.

God assures us that every prayer our hearts utter does not go unheard. He knows your needs before you even knew you needed them. Let God carry your burdens and allow yourself to rest in His promises knowing that He is faithful in keeping them.

He knows the number of hairs on your head. He knows when you lie down and when you wake up. Is a God like that not worth trusting?

Yours truly,
