Day 2: “I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4
As every new year starts, we often wonder about the uncertainty that the future holds. It is inevitable to worry about what is to come, especially if things in the past year were on sinking sand. We think to ourselves, “how am I going to survive?”
With all the responsibilities that we juggle everyday-work, family, church, and even our community- it is difficult to not worry about how we are going to meet their demands. But with all of these events in our daily lives, we can be assured of one thing: The Lord is with us.
Do you know the meaning of the name Emmanuel? It literally means “God with us”. What promise of assurance the Lord has for those who love Him and put their trust in Him!
Wherever we are – be it at the office, at school, at the mall, traveling abroad, walking down a dark alley, going through a financial crisis, facing death in the face – every situation in our lives reflects God’s presence, if only we are aware of Him.
Be it high or hell waters, do know that the Lord means business when He said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you. ”
